Texas Roadhouse customers noticed they were charged more on their check than they had signed for.  This happened in Colorado Springs at Texas Roadhouse and the customers warns other customer to always check your statement to make sure it matches the amount you signed for.   Doug Woodward and his wife were overcharged at Texas Roadhouse.  He said it happened when server changed the tip amount.

Woodward and his wife went out to eat with friends, they received the check for total $105.01 tipping $10.00 for the grand total  $115.01 but after looking at bank statement the total was $123.01  Thankfully they kept a copy of the check which they took back to the restaurant manager.

“Clearly there was a small zero added to the zero here and a straight line drawn through the 5 to try to make that appear to be an 8” said Woodward, who is a disabled veteran living on a fixed income.   “When a fixed income is your bread and butter, $8 can make a difference.  “There’s no way on earth I was the only victim. I think a lot of people need to check their receipts and I think there’s going to be a lot of angry people.”

Texas Roadhouse’s corporate office sent out statement:

“After our investigation, we confirmed that Mr. Woodward’s receipt was tampered with by one of our employees. The employee has been terminated and we are refunding the full amount of his bill to Mr. Woodward.”

QUESTION:   HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU???!!
